Tried to squeeze in every single ‘touristy’ place in our itinerary, but there was simply too many. I built up plenty of expectations before going, and needless to say, Japan exceeded each one of them. Now I know why everyone else loves it. Now I know why people go there for vacation year on year.
Their culture is incredibly rich: their food so diverse (didn’t even bother checking for reviews, every corner had something good to serve), their cultural hotspots well-preserved (I enjoyed Asakusa the most), their systems efficient and up-to-date, and their people so courteous and amiable. The place was many things, each of them causing one to fall in love with it.
Places to visit (we went to too many places, let me try to remember as much as I can):
- Harajuku
- Ginza
- Asakusa**
- Mt. Fuji Golden Tour (4 stops: Mt. Fuji, a quaint village by the mountain, waterfalls, and a temple)
- Omotesando**. Go to MoMA Design Store!
- Meiji Shrine
- Shinjuku
- Shibuya**. Crossing & nearby places & shops.
- Mitsui Outlet Park, Kisarazu**
I don’t remember all the places well but yeah, this place deserves a come-back!
